Bristol defense startup launches autonomous underwater mine countermeasure system

Vatn Systems, a Rhode Island–based defense startup, is planning to launch an autonomous system capable of detecting and detonating naval mines. The system will be built in Bristol and is expected to be deployable by the end of the year and is testing with government customers.
