Emergent becomes third AI unicorn of 2026 with $130 Mn Series C led by Creaegis

AI software creation platform Emergent has raised $130 million in a Series C funding round led by Creaegis, with participation from Claypond, Sentinel Global, Khosla Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed and Y Combinator. The fresh round values the company at $1.5 billion, a fivefold jump in valuation within four months. The latest fundraise also makes Emergent one of the fastest startups to enter the unicorn club, just a year after its public launch. The company said the proceeds will be used to expand its AI software creation platform, strengthen its autonomous AI capabilities, and support its growing global user base. Founded in 2025 by Mukund and Madhav Jha, Emergent enables founders, entrepreneurs and small businesses to build production ready web and mobile applications using autonomous AI agents, without requiring coding expertise. According to the company, more than 12 million applications have been built on its platform, with nearly 70% of users having no prior coding experience. "The real impact of the AI revolution will be a complete democratization of who gets to build software and how much it costs," said Mukund Jha, co-founder and CEO of Emergent. "With Emergent, entrepreneurs and business owners can build and run the software their businesses need without depending on traditional engineering resources." The company allows users to build products such as CRMs, ERPs, marketplaces, mobile applications, internal tools, and customer facing software through AI agents. Emergent has raised $230 million across three funding rounds within a year. The startup secured $23 million in its Series A round in September 2025, followed by a $70 million Series B round in January 2026. With this round, Emergent has become the third AI startup and the seventh overall startup to enter India's unicorn club in 2026, following KreditBee , Neysa , Juspay , Skyroot , Sarvam AI, and Square Yards. Last month, AI startup Sarvam AI raised $234 million in the first close of its $300 million Series B round at a post money valuation of $1.5 billion.
