DeepSeek, the Chinese AI lab behind the DeepSeek V3 and R1 models, is reportedly building a new Harness team focused on coding agent products, directly rivaling Anthropic's Claude Code, according to sources close to the company.

DeepSeek is assembling a dedicated Harness team to develop a coding agent product in direct competition with Anthropic's Claude Code, with roles now open in Beijing.
