One-size-fits-all AI law may not work in India, say policy experts

The discussion comes after the electronics and information technology ministry secretary S Krishnan recently said that the “time is getting right for a dedicated AI law”. As reported by ET earlier, government officials said the proposed framework is likely to follow a graded, risk-based approach, with stricter obligations for AI used in sectors such as healthcare, banking and critical infrastructure.
