Brazil launches AI supercomputer push, splits projects between Chinese, US firms

Brazil has unveiled a bold plan to enhance its artificial intelligence landscape through substantial investments. This initiative will see collaborations with tech giants from both the United States and China. A significant share of the funding will go towards establishing advanced supercomputing facilities in Rio de Janeiro in partnership with Huawei, while another supercomputer, anticipated to rank among the top ten globally, will be deployed in a different location.
