Palo Alto Networks and NTT Data have teamed up to deliver what the vendors say could amount to $1 billion in joint AI-focused enterprise security services deals by the end of 2029. The arrangement will combine Palo Alto’s AI-powered cybersecurity platforms—such as its Prisma Cloud, Prisma AIRS, SASE , and next generation firewalls—and its Unit 42 threat intelligence with NTT Data’s consulting, engineering, and managed services to help customers assess their cyber risks, securely deploy and manage AI systems, and simplify complex technology environments, the vendors stated. The idea is to offer customers a single, integrated security platform and have a global service provider running it, the vendors stated. Palo Alto says the deal marks its first strategic alliance with a global systems integrator. “Backed by joint investments, more than 2,000 certified experts, as well as dedicated forward deployed engineers, the alliance will deliver a seamless approach to streamline deployments and speed client outcomes. Through direct engineering collaboration, NTT Data will gain early access to new platform features — further accelerating the delivery of AI security services to clients,” the vendors stated. Palo Alto and NTT have worked together in the past. Most recently, NTT said it would be part of Palo Alto’s Frontier AI Alliance , which includes Accenture, Deloitte, IBM, Infosys and others. Members of that alliance intend to work together to use the latest frontier AI models and tie together automation with AI to offer customers advanced and secure AI systems. “AI is redefining every aspect of the enterprise, but it is also transforming the threat landscape at unprecedented speed. Organizations need a new approach to cyber resilience that combines AI-driven security, deep industry expertise and global scale,” said Abhijit Dubey, CEO and chief AI officer, NTT Data, in a statement . “Together with Palo Alto Networks, we’re bringing AI-powered cybersecurity innovation together with NTT Data’s consulting, engineering and managed services capabilities to help clients securely accelerate AI adoption and stay ahead of evolving threats.”
