- Quintas Energy deploys AI through Box to power workflows
Quintas Energy, which provides independent asset management services to the renewable energy sector, is deploying Box to establish a secure, intelligent content layer . The new IT infrastructure will integrate with its proprietary platform and artificial intelligence (AI) programme to capture, classify and govern business-critical documentation. To support operational workflows, with AI positioned as a transformative technology to improve asset management. As renewable energy portfolios grow in size, geographical reach and technical complexity, asset managers are required to coordinate larger volumes of contractual, technical, financial, regulatory and operational documentation across multiple stakeholders. Rafael Hueso, CIO of Quintas Energy, described AI as “a game changer”, adding: “AI is coming and it’s here to stay.” Specifically, Quintas Energy has looked at which workflows benefit from AI’s use. Box Enterprise Advanced is being deployed to accelerate client and asset onboarding – processes typically slowed by high volumes of technical, financial, and compliance documentation. By establishing a structured, intelligent content environment, Box promises to enable Quintas Energy to reduce manual coordination, improve data quality and speed up the transition to operational readiness. Rather than setting specific goals to achieve with AI, Hueso said that the business has competitive goals and company objectives it wants to achieve: “We are pretty sure that AI will help us to achieve these in a consistent way.” The key, according to Hueso, is to ensure that AI insights built on top of content is trustworthy, which is why the company selected Box. And while AI is very much a part of the digital transformation programme at Quintas Energy, Hueso said: “Before we began this programme, we looked at governance rather than AI itself because it’s a baseline.” Discussing the use of Box, he added: “It was never just about the storage. It was more about building a content layer that we can trust and build AI on top of.” Hueso said the goal is to have content available across the business to be AI-ready, which means it is structured, classified and governed securely. This will enable AI to reliably find, interpret and act on information held in Box, instead of having Box used just as a repository of corporate information. “It means having metadata and classification applied at the point of injection, using tools like Box Extract,” said Hueso. The idea is to use content held in Box to feed workflows. “Information flows automatically to where decisions actually get made, rather than just sitting in a folder waiting to be found.” Given the recent postmortem of an Antropic security breach , Hueso said that governance is essential for keeping corporate IT assets secure. While he conceded that there is inherent risk in adopting any new technology, he believes bigger risk is long-term exposure of leaving critical information fragmented and governed outside any security framework. “The biggest security risk in the use of AI tools within corporate IT is ungoverned legacy content sitting outside a proper framework,” he stated. “This is our perfect storm of risk because anytime you centralise content and connect it to AI, you have to take security more seriously, which is exactly why governance was the starting point in this programme, rather than afterthought. We are building classification, access controls, compliance and retention policies from day one.” Read more about AI in content management ADNOC shifts AI strategy from isolated pilots to enterprise-wide operations : UAE energy giant embeds artificial intelligence across its value chain as it moves from experimentation to operational scale. My in-laws have wired every light in their house to Alexa. But no one can ever remember if they're sitting in the "living room" or the "family room," so three commands and one accidental playlist later, someone always ends up just leaning over and hitting the light switch. A lot of AI workflows are built the same way—for example, someone calls a model to check if a number is above a threshold. This is something a conditional rule has handled since the early days of Excel. There's no judgment to

- How does ChatGPT work?
ChatGPT started as a chatbot and tech demo for OpenAI's large language models (LLMs). It's now something closer to a general-purpose AI platform—one that can search the web, generate images, write code, reason through complex problems, and execute multi-step actions across apps. As OpenAI has kept pushing ChatGPT forward with new models and features, a question that sounds simple has gotten surprisingly hard to answer: How does ChatGPT work? Well, I'm going to do my best to answer. Table of con
