Smart home device maker Aqara launched the Camera Hub G350 in March, and it is the first Matter-certified smart camera on the market. Cameras are included in Matter 1.5, and while Apple doesn't support Matter cameras yet, Aqara's camera still works with Apple Home. For Apple users, Matter integration doesn't provide any benefit, but it adds cross-platform support for Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, and more. The Camera Hub G350 is my favorite indoor home security camera that I've tested to date, and not just because it's wearing a cute bunny-ear costume. It records in 4K and has zoom capabilities, plus it has movement tracking and can rotate 360 degrees. There are two cameras in the G350, and the design makes the lenses look like eyes. If you don't like the cutesy style, you can take off the silicone bunny hood, which makes the G350 look more like a traditional security camera. You can view the G350's feed through Apple Home, and it connects as a HomeKit Secure Video camera. Footage i

Tech titans appear to be cosying up to Canberra with an eye to training data models here. An AI wealth fund could share in the profits Get our breaking news email , free app or daily news podcast The CEOs of AI titans Microsoft and Anthropic have been duchessing Canberra. The reason? They have bet the house that we are at the beginning of an AI gold rush and they have a big problem: they need to find secure places to train their massive models. Having exhausted the US’s public tolerance for data centres and the eye-popping amount of energy and water they consume, these companies need stable bases to power these mega-data projects to drive their technology. This requires access to space, renewable energy and a stable political environment, resources that are in short supply globally. Continue reading...

INTENT : Share elements of my mental model regarding collaboration with Claude Opus models. Not intentionally scoped to a specific model version, but my experience is generally with the latest model version available (4.7 as of time of writing items 1-4 on 5/22/26) Accompanying an instruction with the why significantly improves: Observed rate of the instruction being visibly salient to Claude Quality/nuance of instruction execution (baselined on 1a) A standing instruction to break replies into labeled sections and sub-sections improves ergonomics of reference to specific points: Claude reliably follows references to "A3" or "B5". This is much more ergonomic for me over the course of a session compared to "on that point about blah..." Claude actively uses the references as handles (in contrast to labeling sections but otherwise not interacting with the labels.) Negatively-framed instructions increase salience of the prohibited action. Depending on the instruction itself, the net effect

Pronto is no longer positioning itself as just a household services platform. Behind the rapid growth story and investor excitement, the startup may also be exploring something far bigger and potentially controversial: becoming a real-world data layer for Physical AI and robotics. And this is not merely industry speculation. The clearest indication comes from its investor documents reviewed by Entrackr . In an internal memo, Glade Brook Capital states: “Pronto is seeking to formalize India’s vast informal labor markets and in the process generate data to help train physical AI and robotics.” The memo goes further, saying the company is already “piloting real world training data with leading physical AI labs.” That line fundamentally changes how the company needs to be viewed. Until now, Pronto was largely seen as another fast-growing instant home services startup connecting households with workers for cleaning, laundry, utensil washing, cooking assistance, gardening, and car washing.
