The Trade Desk Co-founder and CEO Jeff Green has said the public discussion around the company’s dispute with Publicis Groupe has been “overdramatised”, adding that negotiations between the two companies are continuing.Speaking during The Trade Desk’s Q1 2026 earnings call, Green addressed questions around the company’s relationship with Publicis and the impact on its business outlook.“I think that has been overdramatised, and I am hopeful that we are nearing the end of this public discussion,” Green said during the call. He added that The Trade Desk has done “billions of dollars” of business with Publicis since 2018 and continues to remain in discussions regarding the next phase of the partnership. The issue comes after reports that Publicis had advised certain clients against working with The Trade Desk following an audit related to fee structures, media spending and advertiser visibility into data and platform costs. - Claude vs ChatGPT for Business Workflows: An Honest Comparison
Both are excellent. Both cost $20/month. But they’re built for different kinds of work — and choosing the wrong one for your workflows costs you months of productivity. Here’s the real answer, task by task. For two years, the answer to “which AI should I use?” was ChatGPT. It wasn’t a debate. It was the default, the obvious choice, the Kleenex of AI. But something changed in 2025 — and if you’re still paying OpenAI on autopilot without questioning it, you may be optimizing for the wrong workflows. This isn’t a “Claude is better” article. It’s an honest, task-by-task breakdown of where each tool genuinely wins — drawn from real benchmark data, developer surveys, and hands-on evaluation across writing, coding, research, document analysis, and business automation workflows. - Empowerment, corrigibility, etc. are simple abstractions (of a messed-up ontology)
1.1 Tl;dr Alignment is often conceptualized as AIs helping humans achieve their goals: AIs that increase people’s agency and empowerment; AIs that are helpful, corrigible, and/or obedient; AIs that avoid manipulating people. But that last one—manipulation—points to a challenge for all these desiderata: a human’s goals are themselves under-determined and manipulable, and it’s awfully hard to pin down a principled distinction between changing people’s goals in a good way (“providing counsel”, “providing information”, “sharing ideas”) versus a bad way (“manipulating”, “brainwashing”). The manipulability of human desires is hardly a new observation in the alignment literature, but it remains unsolved (see lit review in §3 below). In this post I will propose an explanation of how we humans intuitively conceptualize the distinction between guidance (good) vs manipulation (bad), in case it helps us brainstorm how we might put that distinction into AI. …But (spoiler alert) it turns out not to
